Biodiesel = BAD

We all thought biodiesel is a good thing, right?

Turns out… WRONG.

Biodiesel turns out to be extremely environmentally damaging.

It will only take you 5 minutes to read the article in the Guardian. Make sure you read it, then always question who is pushing what agenda when you hear a supposedly good-news story.

(With thanks to David for bringing this one to my attention.)

Biodiesel is one of those white elephant things perpetuated by today tonight, and promoted by snake oil salesmen as a way to “cheat” the rising cost of oil. its just more of the same.

One of the biggest discoveries left to be made before we can become an efficient society is that of directly and safely utilising nuclear energy. At the moment our understanding of it is not sufficient that we are simply wastefully using it to drive our inefficient heat engines etc.

Unfortunately nuclear energy has never been received well by the public (or corporate research companies) because of its obvious links to the atomic bomb, and the dirty (but relatively efficient in comparison to oil) nuclear reactors we see in America/Europe.

Again Australia wont be finding any answers anytime soon, physics enrolments across the country are low, and still declining.
